Sulphur Springs Police Department Investigating Shooting at Buford Park Skate Park

From Sulphur Springs Police Department:

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday May 3rd, 2020, Sulphur Springs Police were dispatched to the skate park at Buford Park in reference to a victim of a gunshot wound.

Officers were told of two different vehicles involved in a disturbance when several gunshots were fired.  The victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle by his friends. 

The suspect vehicles left the scene.  Officers got the description of the vehicles and began looking for them. 

A suspect has been identified in this case and the investigation is ongoing.  The victim is in stable condition.
