Sulphur Springs Man Charged With First Degree Murder In Saturday Night’s Stabbing of 25 Year Old Sulphur Springs Man

Sulphur Springs Police Department arrested 30 year old Ronald David Bailey for allegedly murdering a 25 year old Sulphur Springs man on Saturday night.

SSPD responded to reports of a stabbing at an address on College Street at 7:11 PM last night. Officers made contact with the victim, 25 year old Kendale Qualls, on scene.

According to SSPD Chief Jason Ricketson, there was a confrontation during which Bailey stabbed Qualls.

Qualls was transported to CHRISTUS Mother Frances-Sulphur Springs where he passed away from his injuries.

Bailey was later taken into custody and charged with First Degree Murder. He is currently held at Hopkins County Jail. Bond has not been set.
