Carrollton Police Planning to Charge 18 Year Old Threatening to Spread COVID-19 with Terroristic Threat Charges

The Carrollton Police Department has identified the woman seen on social media claiming to be COVID-19 positive and willfully spreading it as 18-year-old Lorraine Maradiaga of Carrollton.

They have no confirmation Maradiaga is actually a threat to public health but are taking her social media actions very seriously, according to according to a Facebook post from the department.
CPD is currently searching for Maradiaga and plans to charge her with Terroristic Threat, Texas Penal Code 22.07.
