Texas A&M-Commerce Student Tests Positive for COVID-19

On March 28, 2020, the second positive test for COVID-19 was reported for Hunt County, according to Hunt County Judge Bobby Stovall. The Hunt County Health Department completed an initial investigation and determined that the individual in question does reside in Hunt County within the city limits of Commerce, Texas. The individual is an 18-30 year old female.

Texas A&M-Commerce has confirmed that the patient is a student living off-campus. This student has not been on campus recently and is following all medical professional recommendations for self-isolation, according to a statement from the university.

There are currently no other details available as far as where the individual may have contracted coronavirus and whether or not there was any travel history.
