Hopkins County Emergency Management Coordinator Andy Endsley made a statement regarding COVID-19 in Hopkins County on KSST earlier this afternoon.
Endsley said that “there are no known cases” in Hopkins County at this time. He said that four people have been tested and that, “no results have come back from those at this time.”
He said that county officials, city officials, and school officials are working together during this time to determine local response. Hopkins County Emergency Management is meeting 3 times per week with these local officials.
Endsley cautioned against believing rumors on social media and that HCEM will release information to media outlets as it comes in.
He also encouraged citizens to support local business during this time that are offering curbside or delivery services.
