Former Sulphur Springs Wildcats basketball player Keaston Willis has been named the Southland Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Willis currently plays at University of the Incarnate Word.
Willis averaged 13.3 points per game and appeared in 31 games for the Cardinals this season. The Cardinals went 9-22 on the season.
Willis averaged 21.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.5 assists per game during his senior year at Sulphur Springs High School in 2018-2019 and led the Wildcats to the State Quarterfinals.
