19 Roads Slated for Repairs Through City of Sulphur Springs’ 2020 Street Improvement Program

The City of Sulphur Springs has released the list of streets that are planned to be repaired in the 2020 Street Improvement Program. Approximately 5.4 miles of road on 19 roads are planned to be repaired. The road repair fee that was added to city water bills will allow the city to repair roughly double the amount of roads this year.

Community Development Director Tory Niewiadomski told us, “If bids come in higher due to factors such as oil prices going up, the list could be reduced or if the bids come in lower than expected, we may be able to add some additional streets. This is our intended street list. We are opening bids on January 24th and plan to recommend the lowest qualified bidder at the February council meeting.”
