Slaughter’s BBQ Oasis Appears on WFAA’s Daybreak After “Smoked Jalapeno Chicken Popper” Named Top 5 Chicken Dish in North Texas

Slaughter’s BBQ Oasis was recently featured on WFAA Channel 8’s Daybreak on a segment showcasing the top 5 chicken dishes in North Texas. The list was composed by popular food blog Trey’s Chowdown.

Slaughter’s featured dish was a “Smoked Jalapeno Chicken Popper”. It’s a seasoned chicken stuffed with a cream cheese filled with a bacon-wrapped jalapeño. It’s served with a fresh house prepared blue cheese horseradish sauce.

Trey’s Chowdown says about the dish, “This chicken simply put is “stupid delicious”! It is literally life-changing! I ate two of them and brought one home. The forty-five-minute drive east from Dallas is well worth it just to eat this creative dish.”

Slaughter’s BBQ Oasis is located at 1000 Gilmer St(Fix and Feed parking lot). They’re open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch from 10 am until they sell out.
