Luke 2:16
And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.

When you look at the account of the birth of Jesus, it becomes evident very quickly that God doesn’t need look very far to find what He needs to accomplish what He’s trying to do.. Throughout His ministry, Jesus, also showed that the same type of ability to not have to look very far to find what He needed to see the miraculous take place. Think about it, He used water to make wine, fed multitudes with one boys lunch, He even used spit and dirt to heal a man’s blindness. This brings up a serious question to consider. What is in your life that is so close that Jesus can’t use because you keep overlooking it? So many times people fail to see God use them because they are looking for Him to bring some great blessing or ability into their life as a sign. If He put His own Son in something as simple as a feed trough as a sign, there is no doubt already plenty around you that you can use to point others to Him. God doesn’t need you to be rich, popular, affluent, or a genius to work through you in spectacular ways. All He needs is you to be aware of what He has placed right in front of you and for you to be obedient to what He’s telling you to do with it. The makings of the greatest miracles are literally close enough for you to touch if you’ll just take a look around. All He needed was His voice to create the universe and everything in it. All He needs is you to hear that same voice telling you what to do with what’s right in front you. Your ‘next big thing’ might just be in the little things all around you. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
