Miller Grove High School Volleyball won their Regional Quarterfinal matchup against Sulphur Bluff on Tuesday night in three sets.

Miller Grove Coach Ana Billingsley told us, “Our girls showed up ready to play! We hit some spots with low momentum in the second set but we fought back to speed up the game and were able to finish! We are blessed to have the opportunity to make a Regional Tournament appearance for the 3rd year in a row!”

Alexis Green led the Hornets with 20 kills and 13 service points. Katie Williams had 8 kills and 10 assists, Lainy Burnett had 7 kills and 2 blocks, Lauren Bullard had 8 assists and 10 service points, Harli Watson had 10 digs, Jaylah Roberson had 8 digs, and Kylee Saldana had 2 kills.

Miller Grove will move on to play Trinidad in the Regional Semifinal round in Fort Worth at Billingsley Field House at 5:00 on Friday evening. They faced Trinidad in this round last year and were able to pull off a win.

Billingsley said, “They have some height and strong attackers so we will have to be ready to play great defense this year.”
