Funeral services for Peggy Lou Friddle Williams, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to service time. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, TX with grandsons, Price Griggs, Collin Williams, Brandon Jones, Blake Holly, Kaleb Thompson, and Keller Thompson serving as pallbearers. Peggy passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at her residence. She was born on September 8, 1944 in Gilmer, TX, the daughter of Condie Carnish and Lou Ella Whitfield Friddle. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith. She married James Douglas Williams on December 2, 1982 in Sulphur Springs, TX. He survives. She was a wonderful cook. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, and watching her grandkids play sports. She also loved playing marbles and joker with her game girls. In addition to her husband James, she is survived by daughters, Andrea Griggs and husband Mitch of Sulphur Springs, Delann Thompson and husband Kenny of Mt. Pleasant, sons, Dee Williams of Sulphur Springs, Gene Williams of Ft. Worth, Steve Williams and wife Carolyn of Dike, brother, Bill Friddle of Dallas, sister, Sandy Jonas of Gilmer, grandchildren, Price Griggs, Collin Williams, Sarah Jones and husband Brandon, Tara Holly and husband Blake, Kendel Thompson, Kaleb Thompson, Keller Thompson, Kit Thompson, and great-grandchildren, Brett and Ellie Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nelcine Hathcoat. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
