John 5:2-3
2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Aramaic called Bethesda, which has five roofed colonnades. 3 In these lay a multitude of invalids—blind, lame, and paralyzed.

Many times, the reason that people don’t receive what they need from the Lord is that they don’t realize what is available to them. Everything that the Lord is – love, mercy, grace, power, strength, etc. – is readily available to anyone who has received Him and is His child. Take today’s scripture text as an example. The word Bethesda means House of Mercy and it was surrounded by five covered colonnades. In Biblical numerology, five is the number representing grace. So you see, all of these multitudes of people who were seeking their breakthroughs were doing so in the House of Mercy, under the covering of God’s grace! Yet, for whatever reason they failed to take advantage of the very gifts that were literally surrounding them. As a child of God, every answer, every promise, every breakthrough, and every deliverance you will ever need is already within you. All grace and mercy is readily accessible because the One through whom they come has made your heart the place in which He abides. So if you’re dealing with anything that is keeping you from being less than all you can be in the Kingdom, take advantage of the fact that His mercy and grace are close enough for you to touch! He is more than generous and is waiting to display His power in your life. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
