Volunteers Needed for Second Community Clean-Up of Mel Haven Cemetery Scheduled for October 19th.

There will be another community clean-up of Mel Haven Cemetery on Saturday, October 19th from 7 am to noon. Anyone that is interested in volunteering to clean up this historic site is welcome to attend. Those planning to participate feel free to bring weed eaters, chainsaws, shears, limb clippers, gloves, and lawn mowers.
The City has approved the repaving of the street leading into the cemetery. The hope is to make strides to restore the cemetery with the help of volunteers and business people in our community. The goal is to make Mel Haven a haven for our departed loved ones.
