This Friday’s Sulphur Springs football game and pep rally will be a ‘Gold Out’ in honor of those affected by childhood cancer in our community. Sulphur Springs High School class officers will be selling rally towels, t-shirts, and doing facepainting with the proceeds donated to the Star Nuckolls Foundation and the families of Sandy Reed and Keesha Gibbs.

Students had been working closely with Sandy Reed to organize this event and she was supposed to MC the pep rally before her passing. Sandy’s son Micah’s battle with cancer was the inspiration for the Gold Out.

Cheyenne Fouse, Secretary of the Class of 2021, told us, “This cause is very near and dear to our hearts and we are doing everything possible to have the SSHS student body and community behind us.”

Email canglin@ssisd.net for more info about purchasing rally towels or t-shirts.
