Hebrews 9:23
Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Many people fail to realize that just as when God created man in His image, He created the earth as a reflection of Heaven. Therefore, when man sinned, God made an earthly tabernacle through Moses that was a copy of the Holy Place in Heaven. Just as there was a mercy seat in the Heavenly Holy of Holies, the tabernacle of Moses had a mercy seat as well. Only the High Priest was allowed to enter this most sacred area once a year to apply the blood of a lamb to this mercy seat as a covering for the sins of the Israelite nation. Once applied, God would look upon the nation of Israel with mercy because of the blood. Meanwhile, in Heaven, the actual mercy seat of God was awaiting the blood of the perfect sacrifice that could redeem fallen man. That perfect blood could only be found in God Himself. This is why Jesus became a man, came to earth, and suffered a gruesome death on the cross. His blood was shed, presented, judged as acceptable by the Father, and then applied to that Heaven mercy seat as a ransom for fallen man. Your punishment has been taken away by this blood. This gift of mercy unlocked all of the grace and favor of Heaven which is now being poured out upon lavishly upon your life. God should not be looked religiously as a God of wrath or judgement, but as the God of mercy and grace. One day in Heaven, you’ll be able to enter that Most Holy Place and see the blood stained mercy seat where your Savior applied His sacrifice for your life. What a gift, what a Savior, what a God! – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Who are you bringing? In two weeks TWBC will begin hosting three Sunday morning services in order to make room for you to bring your family, friends and co-workers who need to experience the love and acceptance of Christ. So invite them to our 8:30, 10:00, or 11:30 service. We are making room for them.
