Wood County Law Enforcement Participating in “No Refusal Weekend” August 30th through September 2nd

This coming holiday weekend, 8/30 thru 9/2, the Winnsboro Police Department in a concerted effort with the Wood County District Attorney’s Office, and all Wood County Law Enforcement agencies will be participating in a “No Refusal Weekend” to combat intoxicated driving. We will have additional staff patrolling and your elected Judges Fletcher and Hebron have volunteered to be available all weekend 24/7 for blood draw search warrants. This is a campaign that was orchestrated by Wood County District Attorney Angela Albers for the safety and protection of citizens on the roadway this Labor Day Weekend. If you drink, don’t drive. Have a designated driver.
