Ephesians 1:3-5
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
The most important vital truth that you can grasp as a child of God is that you are ‘in Him’. When you chose to accept the salvation that Christ purchased for you on the the cross, He actually brings you back into Himself just as Adam and Eve were in the beginning. In the New Testament, the phrases in Christ, in Him, in Whom are mentioned well over 150 times. Jesus didn’t die just to keep you out of hell, no, He brought you back into fellowship and oneness with the Godhead. Anytime that God deals with you about anything He does so based upon your position in Christ. He doesn’t see you as a late addition or a charity case, He sees you as one with Himself. You are surrounded by Him at all times, in all ways, and on all levels. In the beginning, when He created man in His image, that is exactly what He had in mind. He never intended for you to live any other way. He values and loves you as His very own, as a part of Himself. When life is difficult and you walk through trying times, remember whose you are and where He has placed you. There is no weapon, plan, scheme, or enemy that can overcome you when you choose to remain in Him. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! We are four days away! This Sunday, August 25th at 10am, is Super Sunday at TWBC. We will gather for one amazing worship service at the Sulphur Springs High School Auditorium followed by a time of food, fun and games, and lots of fellowship. This is the one time each year that we can all gather in one service and see everyone all together at one time. You don’t want to miss what God is going to do as we celebrate 20 years of ministry and launch into the next 20. We look forward to seeing you there.
