Hebrews 6:12
so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Many people have the idea that God makes them wait for something to teach them patience. In actuality what is really happening is that God is looking for that person to reach a level of maturity that will enable to properly handle what they’re asking for. Patience is a sign of maturity. When something that you desire fails to manifest you must not automatically assume that it’s not God’s will or that you’re missing out on something. Many times what you’re asking for is actually a desire that God has put in your heart. You must be careful to not assume that God is saying ‘no’ when He may really be saying ‘not yet’. If you’re still at a level of maturity where you question His love when something you want doesn’t come to fruition then you’re probably not mature enough to handle what you’re asking for. Even the God-inspired desires of your heart will crush you if you’re not mature enough to steward them properly. You must not have mindset that you’re waiting on God when it’s simply a matter of Him looking for you grow strong enough to carry the weight of your request. He gave you that dream or desire to give you something to apply your faith to. Continue pursuing Him, continue to grow, continue to learn, and continue to trust that when He sees you reach that place of maturity that desire will come to pass. God is good. So good, in fact, that He will not allow you to be crushed by the weight of the very thing that He wants to give you. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
