Gary Michael Bishop was born in Sulphur Springs, on March 22, 1957, to the parentage of Marshall and Mary Ola Asbill Bishop.  He followed the Lord in baptism at around the age of 10, in a stock pond in Emory.  He has been a lifetime member of Elm Baptist Church.  Gary graduated from Rains High School Class of 197, where he loved to play football.  He went on to take two years of classes at Tyler Junior College.  Gary worked hard as a dairyman for 20+ years.  On January 10, 2006, he married Teresa Kay Lee in Emory.  He then worked and retired after 20
years as County Commissioner for Rains County Precinct 3.  And for the last six years he has driven a truck for Gaston Sanitation.  Gary loved Jesus and his family more than anything.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Emory Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory.
