Funeral Services for Tracy Berry, age 97, of Sulphur Springs, will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Birthright with Rev. Johnny Harris officiating and Rev. Phillip Harrison will be assisting.  Interment will follow at North Caney Cemetery with military honors.   Serving as pallbearers will be Gayland Berry, Eric Berry, Dewayne Berry, Rodney Harris, Harold Berry and LaRoyce Beard.   Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Tapp Funeral Home. Mr. Berry passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at his home in Sulphur Springs.

Tracy was born on October 31, 1921 in Hopkins County to Dote and Betty Williams Berry. He worked at Pratt Packing Company, Grocery Supply and Travis School and served in the United States Army. He married Helen Ruth Vaughn who preceded him in death.

Mr. Berry is survived by his daughters: Claudia Sheppard of Greenville and Vivian Berry of Sulphur Springs; sons: Ron Lewis and wife Brenda of Sulphur Springs, Dwight Berry and wife, Gwendolyn of Dallas and Cornelius Berry of Kansas, MO; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Rammie Rose of Dallas, Lillian Cyrus of Kansas, MO and Jerlean York and husband, Merl of Dallas; brother: Travis Berry of Sulphur Springs; host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; 4 sisters; 3 brothers.
