The 2019 Hopkins County Sweetees All Star team is one win away from the World Series championship game.
The Sweetees began play at the 6 and under World Series in Louisiana over the weekend with a 31-30 win over Alexandria, Louisiana. They lost to Louisiana State 29-22 in their second game and beat Georgia 28-16 in their third game.
The Sweetees will play Alexandria again for a spot in the championship game. Rain has delayed the tournament and they’re hoping to resume play as soon as Thursday.
The roster for the Texas State Championship team includes Jabrie Fowler, Bailee Baylus, Avery Hinton, Toni Faith Tanton, Harley Bryant, Taylor Morrill, Serenity Rollison, Emmy Taylor, RaeLynn Martinez, Braylee Normandeau, Avery Montoya, and Paisley Kerby.
