Funeral service for Jessie “Granny” Price, age 93, of Como will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with L.D. Baxley officiating. Interment will follow at Emblem Cemetery with Dennis Hunt, Kenneth Dyers, Barry Charlton, Brandon Edwards, John Price and Chris Price serving as pallbearers and Doug Franks, Junior Gregg, Harrell Hettich, Dusty McIllwain, Jimmy Rutledge, Robert Edwards, Scotty Price, David Joslin, Taylor Pickering serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Price passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Carriage House in Sulphur Springs.
Jessie “Granny” was born on December 8, 1925 in Emblem to William and Dora Lee Davis Speed. She married Thedis Edward “Jack” Price on September 5, 1942 in Emblem. Jessie was a homemaker and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Julie Miller, Kenneth Toby Price, Don Ray Pete Price and wife, Cindy, Lana Edwards and husband, Robert, Randy Price and wife, Mary; son-in-law, Doug Franks; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; dear friend, Betty Baxley.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband and daughter, Kay Franks.
