And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
When the trials of life, whether they be physical, emotional, or spiritual in nature, occur in your life…and they will, it’s important to remember that while God can and will use them, He doesn’t ordain them. Many people allow the presence or absence of difficulties to be the indicator of whether or not they’re on the right path in life. They have the misunderstanding that if they were doing the right thing bad that things wouldn’t be happening. The truth of the matter is that whether you’re doing the right thing or not, life is going to bring difficulties and trials. Often, the fact that you’re doing exactly what God has instructed is causing you to face resistance. On the other hand, if you’re out of God’s will you could be experiencing troubles because you’ve stepped out from under His grace. Either way, if you allow circumstances to be the measuring stick by which you gauge your spiritual walk you going to suffer from a great deal instability in your life. The truth of the matter is this, if you’re allowing anything or anyone to guide your life other than the Holy Spirit Himself you will never experience the grace that it takes to see you through. His grace can pull you out of a pit or empower you to continue moving forward in the face of adversity. Your job is to know, and be in constant communication with, the One who makes all things work together for your good. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
