And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
It goes without saying that no journey has ever begun without a starting point. To get to where you’re wanting to go, you must first know where you’re at. So many Christians say that they want to get to a certain place in their walk where they are fully functioning in their ultimate God given potential. A hang up occurs for many because they’re frustrated about not being there but, at the same time, have never taken the time to find out where they’re currently at. For example, if you wanted to go to Denver, you would have to determine which route you needed to based upon your are current location. If you’re in Los Angeles, you would have different route to take than someone who was in New York. You started on your journey of faith when you were born again. Since that time where has that journey taken you? How far have you come? Maybe you’ve been driving hard and you’ve gone quite ways, or maybe you’ve experienced some difficulties or gotten of course. The only true way to find out where you’re at is to ask the Holy Spirit to show you. Just like GPS on your cellphone can gave you your exact location so you know which way to turn next, the Holy Spirit will show you where exactly you’re at in your walk with the Lord. He is your guide. The problem for many is that when He shows them where they’re at they must accept what He tells them. Just like you’d never argue with the GPS on your phone, you must accept what He shows and make the proper adjustments to your route in order to get back on course. The Lord has amazing things in store for you on your journey but to experience them fully you must make sure that you’re on the course He has mapped out for you. It all begins with know where you’re at right now. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
