SSHS UIL Competes at State UIL Academic Championships. Sophomore Matthew Harper and Literary Criticism Team Win First Place.

Nine Sulphur Springs High School students competed at the UIL Academic State Meet this past weekend, May 3rd and 4th, at the University of Texas in Austin. 12 medals were earned in all.
Matthew Harper (Sophomore) is state champion in Literary Criticism and Matthew Harper, Carissa Carter, Andrew Westlund, and Lainey Whittle are the state champion Literary Criticism team for 2019.
UIL Coordinator Gerald Grafton said, “We are extremely proud of the way these students represented Sulphur Springs High School.” Individual and Team results follow.
