TXDoT informed us last night that the traffic signal repair on the Broadway Street bridge could take up to one week to repair and that drivers should take an alternate route if possible. Reasons for the delays in the repair of the three traffic signals were not provided. TXDoT previously said in a release early Friday morning that they were “working diligently to repair the damage”. However, the provided time frame for the repairs does not reflect their stated diligence.

The full statement from TXDoT is below and you can reach TXDoT’s Public Information Officer for the Paris District, Tim McAlavy at (903) 715-5792 for more information.

From TXDoT’s Public Information Officer for the Paris District, Tim McAlavy:

The ongoing traffic signal repairs on the south side of the Broadway Street Bridge over I-30 in Sulphur Springs may take as long as one week, weather permitting. Our signal crews will strive to complete the repairs as soon as possible. Travelers who frequent this area are advised to use alternate routes, if possible.
