Memorial service for Linda Sue Johnson, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Ed Lantz officiating and Bro. Dean Libby assisting. There will be no formal visitation. Linda passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Medical City Plano. She was born on August 9, 1946 in Mesquite, TX, the daughter of William McKinley and Ethel Puckett Singleton. She married Ron Johnson in August 1990 in St. Louis, MO. She worked as the Planned Giving Director forSalvation Army for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Book Club. She was an avid reader, and loved collecting and dealing in antiques. She is survived by husband, Ron, sons, Jason McKinley Ervin, Justin Duane Ervin, step-son, Timothy Howard Johnson, daughters, Angela Ervin Harden, Alisa Ervin Kostlan, step-daughter, Kimberly Lynn Johnson, daughter-in-law, Jamie Lee, grandchildren, Ryan Merkow, Preston Kostlan, Corey Hardin, Zak Tharp, Brooke Tharp, niece, Diane Lowrance Kellenberger, and nephew, Alvin Lowrance. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Damon D. Ervin, sister, Anita Lois Singleton Lowrance, and brother, William David Singleton.
