1 Samuel 17:37
And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”

It’s easy to get sidetracked and distracted when difficulties arise because of your pursuit of the promise that God has given you. What you have to understand is that the enemy and the world around will do everything in their power to keep you from seeing the promises of God fulfilled in your life. Too many believers act like they live on a playground when in actuality they live on a battlefield. They step out to do something by faith and immediately they’re hit with the harsh reality of the battle that they will have to fight in order to obtain their promise. Panic and fear will try to set in and immobilize you. This is where you will have a choice to make. You can grab ahold of the Lord and His promise or you can cower back and let the enemy win. David, unlike Saul and the rest of the Israelite army, was unwilling to allow the enemy to keep him from what the Lord said was his. The thought of losing, and even death, never entered his mind. He chose to put more weight on what God had promised than what the enemy was threatening. You must do the same. The Lord will never say something that He doesn’t completely intend to fulfill. The promises He has made to you have the backing of all of Heaven and no-one or nothing can stop you from seeing them come to pass. Re-establish your faith in the Promiser and get ready for the victory. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
