Funeral services for Faye Ann Ardis, age 79, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Libby officiating and Rev. Ed Lantz assisting. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to services at First United Methodist Church. Ann passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her residence. Ann was born on September 19, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, TX, the daughter of Joe Clyde Clinton and Maude Brewer Clinton. She married Joe Ardis on August 30, 1963 in Sulphur Springs and he survives. Ann was a former math teacher and taught at Sulphur Springs High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband Joe she is survived by a nephew, David Clinton of Dallas, niece, Elizabeth Clinton of Kenya, Africa, along with several other nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-law’s, Harris and Patsy Ardis of Sulphur Springs, Mary Ardis McMillan of Plano, Arlene Meek Clinton of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Clinton. Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Springs City Cemetery Society at P.O. Box 651, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483.
