Sulphur Springs native Colby Suggs has accepted a front office position with the Minnesota Twins as an Advance Scout. Suggs will be working in advanced analytics with their major league team.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to work for the Twins and to help these great coaches and players try to win. My family and I are grateful for the opportunity the Twins have provided me and are looking forward to the upcoming season.”, said Suggs.

Suggs, son of Joe and Kerry Suggs, graduated from SSHS in 2010 and attended the University of Arkansas on a baseball scholarship. He was drafted by the Miami Marlins with the 73rd overall pick of the 2013 MLB draft after his junior season. Suggs’ playing career was cut short by an elbow injury and he spent last season as the Bullpen Coach for the University of Arkansas baseball team that came up one out short in the 2018 College World Series.
