9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Have you ever been in a debate with someone about your faith? Do you feel like you represented God or were you to pushed to the place of defending why you believe the way you do? People are often looking for a way to disprove that Christianity is relevant to life today. The reason why most believers have a problem defending what they believe is because even though they’ve believed or accepted it, they haven’t truly experienced it. Today’s text mentions wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Wisdom is the words you receive from God through His Spirit speaking into yours but knowledge only comes when you walk out that wisdom in your own life. Up until that point, that wisdom, to you, is really only a theory. Once you gain knowledge through experience, you can then receive the understanding of that belief for the purpose of teaching others. Theories will always be debatable, but knowledge and understanding gained from experience cannot be disproven. Seek to walk out the wisdom that God imparts into your life so that the knowledge you gain can be beneficial to others. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
