Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24 year old Diego Armando Lopez and 21 year old Jesus Antonio Donava, both of San Juan, Texas,  on Thursday after discovering approximately 12 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop.

Lopez was reportedly exhibiting signs of nervousness and both men had conflicting stories during the traffic stop on I-30 which led to officers asking for consent to search the vehicle. During the search an aftermarket compartment was located in the trunk of the vehicle. Officers located five wrapped bundles of cocaine inside the compartment.

Lopez and Donava are currently being held at Hopkins County Jail and are charged with Manufacturing / Delivery of Controlled Substance less than 400 grams. Bond has not been set.
