Graveside service with military honors for Wilburn L. Winnett, age 94, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. David Hamm officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  Mr. Winnett passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab, Sulphur Springs, TX.

Wilburn was born on December 30, 1925 in Yantis, TX to Sam and Eva Winnett.  He married Carla Hunter in Dallas, TX in 1979. Wilburn served in the US Army during WW II.  He worked as a Stocker and loader for Proctor and Gamble.  Wilburn was a member of Freedom Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Carla; son, Richard Winnett and wife, Melinda of Mineola; granddaughter, Kristi Chance; two great grandchildren.

Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Houston Winnett, Rayburn Winnett, Buford Winnett; sisters, Pearl Fox, Lorene Winnett.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home
