Psalm 43:3

Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!

You’ve heard expressions like, “Shed some light on the subject”, and “I’m totally in the dark on that”.  But what you may not realize is that they are rooted in a Biblical truth.  Truth, sight, light, and freedom are synonymous in the Bible as are lies, blindness, darkness and bondage.  The enemy, who Jesus referred to as the ‘father of lies’ has, since the beginning, tried to keep mankind in bondage.  The way he does this is through deception and lies.  If he can get you to believe, and therefore think, falsely about who God is and who you are in Him then he can keep you from living in the true freedom that Jesus bought and paid for you to have.  Many believers have received His life, but they haven’t taken the time to walk in the light, or truth, of who they are in Him.  Your freedom in Christ is directly related to the amount of truth that you choose to walk in.  You can choose to remain blind and bound or you can ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you to the freedom that you have yet to experience.  If you are going to be carrier of the light then you must first be willing experience it for yourself.  What areas of your life are not as free and they should be?  Ask the Holy Spirit to expose any lies that you might be believing about God or yourself and then choose to break agreement with them.  You’re only a prayer away from walking in a new level of freedom. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
