Colossians 1:11-13
11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.
Out of all of the different perspectives that people have about Christmas, the Kingdom perspective usually isn’t one of them. In American culture today, Christmas is associated with hustle, bustle, shopping, and the hassle of overcommitment and scheduling. It’s more about chaos and inconvenience than it is about the very order that Jesus came to reestablish. When a king or ruler is in place and doing their job properly, there will be order throughout their kingdom. When you you allow Jesus to be in the proper place in your life, you will experience the divine order of the Kingdom of God. The very peace and life that you were lacking before you knew Him, when the enemy was causing chaos in your life, is what He came to establish. The moment you accepted the sacrifice of His shed blood, He transferred you from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. As you submit to the Kingdom’s ways and principles you will experience the Divine order that comes with it. If you’re dealing with the stress and frustration that so many people do during the Christmas season, ask Him to help you refocus and maintain the proper Kingdom perspective.
