Blue Santa Toy Drive Collects Over $16,000, 80 Bicycles, and Lots of Toys

The annual Blue Santa toy drive in Hopkins County this year collected over $16,000, 80 bicycles, and a trailer full of toys for local children this Christmas. Members of Sulphur Springs Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, and other local organizations were set up at Lowe’s the last two days collecting unwrapped gifts and monetary donations. BBQ lunches were also sold to raise money for the toy drive.
You can still donate to Blue Santa at the Lighted Christmas Parade on Monday night. Just take a monetary donation or unwrapped gift and hand it to the first responders when they pass you on the parade route.
