Cumby Police Arrest Naked Man on Side of I-30. Man Claims He Ran Out of Gas and Was Trying to Get Attention of Motorists for Assistance.

On Monday morning at approximately 7:30 AM Cumby PD were dispatched to the 112 Mile Marker of I-30 in regards to a naked male subject standing next to a passenger vehicle. Officers arrived and found a 39 year old Austin man standing naked in the ditch. Officers asked the man why he was naked and the subject told them that he ran out of gas and was attempting to gain the attention of other motorists for help. The man was placed under arrest for Public Lewdness and transported to Hopkins County jail without incident.
