You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.
A common area where people get tripped up in their thinking is the area of blessing and cursing. Many people walk in an unholy fear of God as opposed to a holy reverence for Him because of misinterpretation and wrong thinking. Throughout the Bible when a curse is being mentioned, there is hardly an instance where you can find God actually cursing anyone. Even those few instances where it may appear that He is cursing someone, depending upon the translation you’re reading, are debatable as to whether or not God is speaking a curse or simply pointing out the fact that a curse came about because of their disobedience. Every time that God has blessed mankind, He has always given them the the option to choose whether or not they receive that blessing or not. Ask yourself this question, “Why would a God Who went through the pain of allowing His Son to take on the curse negate that sacrifice by cursing the very ones that His Son died to redeem?” Walking in blessing or cursing has always been a choice that you as an individual have to make. You, and you alone, have the ability to choose whether or not you’re blessed by walking in obedience or disobedience to His will for your life. He is not watching and waiting to see where you mess up so He can put a curse upon you. Rather, He is looking for any and every available opportunity to pour His blessing out upon your life. Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
