Luke 12:32
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
Most religious circles give you the impression that you have to almost beg and plead with God to get something from Him. You have to act or pray a certain way and if you don’t get what you’re asking for then you must not be doing something right or He is trying to teach you something like patience or humility. So often God is portrayed as stingy and hard to please. But, according to Jesus in today’s text, God takes pleasure in giving you His Kingdom. That means that He wants you to have access to every promise and benefit that comes from being a child of God. He is not withholding or hiding any good thing from you. When He gave you Jesus, He gave you open access to every blessing that comes with being an heir to His throne. He wants you healthy, He wants you prosperous, and He wants you whole. If there is any area of lack or deficiency in your life the problem is not on the giving end, it’s on the receiving end. If you are not seeing His Kingdom manifesting in your life spend some time in His presence and ask Him where the disconnect is taking place. He will, in His gentle and loving way, show you where the problem lies. He loves you and His hand of generosity is open and extended to meet your every need. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
