John 11:21

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

John 11:32

Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

One thing that believers must understand is that God is not moved by emotions. It doesn’t matter how angry you are, how sad you are, how happy or excited you are…none of this will move the hand of God. This is not to say that He doesn’t sympathize with your feelings or issues because He does. Look at it like this. What if every time someone got mad at someone else, God did something that that person would’ve done? What if every time someone was sad, God went after the person who made them sad? Can you imagine the chaos that the universe would be in? Even more so, what if God, while watching His only Son be beaten, mocked, spat upon and crucified, would have gone off in a fit of rage and kicked planet Earth into the next galaxy? You see, because God refuses to be led by His own emotions, He refuses to be led by yours. This is why He has given you faith that only works by love. Love is not an emotion, it is a choice to treat others the way He would, with patience, grace and compassion. Emotions will come, go and change. But the love of God will remain forever and for you. If you want to see you situation change, begin to strengthen your faith by living a life of love and feeding it the Word of God. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
