The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Freeze Watch, which is in effect from late tonight through Saturday morning.

Canadian high pressure at the surface will settle across the area tonight. Temperatures late tonight and early Saturday morning will fall into the lower 30s and upper 20s for a few hours. Some patchy frost may also develop within the Freeze Watch area. Temperatures  will rise above freezing by mid-morning Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Sensitive outdoor plants will be susceptible to the freezing conditions and should be brought indoors or protected.  If sprinklers are left on, freezing of water on sidewalks and roads may occur.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation that remain outdoors. In

addition, make sure outdoor animals have shelter from the expected cold temperatures Saturday morning.
