Romans 12: 4-8
4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Part of the beauty of being in the Body of Christ is that everyone is created differently and uniquely. According to His perfect wisdom, you have combination of gifts and talents that no one else does. This means that there are things that you can do and people that you can reach that no one else can. Problems arise, however, when God’s people begin to compare or envy the gifts that they see in others. People become jealous when they see someone get recognition for doing something that they can’t do or could do but didn’t. Those with a more public ministry may view those who are more behind the scenes as less important causing those people to speak badly about those on the stage. While all this is going on people outside of the Body of Christ are not being reached or even worse, seeing all of this disfunction. We must remember that every gift is equally important and equally needed. The person who built the stage is just as needed and important as the one who is speaking on it…because one gift wouldn’t be needed without the other. Whatever it is that your good at, whatever spiritual or practical gifts God has placed in your life, if you’ll purpose to use them to the best of your ability, you will receive the fulfillment and gratification that come from being used to see the Kingdom of God grow and advance. You have a place, you have an anointing, and you are needed. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
