Sulphur Springs Special Crimes Unit Investigation Leads to Arrest of Scroggins Man for Sale of a Controlled Substance

Sulphur Springs Special Crimes Unit arrested 27 year old Kevin Taylor Umbaugh of Scroggins yesterday for Maufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. SCU investigators purchased approximately 3.2 grams of methamphetamine from Umbaugh and then obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested when SCU investigators, DPS State Troopers, and Franklin County Sherrif’s Officers located Umbaugh driving away from his residence. He is currently being held on $25,000 bond at Hopkins County Jail.
