28 year old Wayne Ray Campbell of Sulphur Springs was arrested yesterday for Sex Offender Duty to Register for Life/Quarterly. Campbell was arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under 14 in early 2017.

He was arrested yesterday after Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office discovered he’d failed to register a change in his ‘online identifier’. Campbell admitted to the failure to register when interviewed by officers.

Law enforcement discovered the failure to register becasue Campbell claimed online to be looking for someone to care for a family member in ill health but then when an individual responded, Campbell began asking questions about a child seen on the individual’s account.

Bond has been set at $15,000.
