From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, (or has been coming violently) and the violent take it by force.
Kingdom living involves so much more than merely ‘jumping on the Jesus train’ and coasting into eternity. It took sacrifice and pain to save you and it will take some sacrifice and pain on your part to see the Kingdom established in your life. If you’ve been born again for any length of time you’ve undoubtedly realized that the promises of God, although they’re already your’s for the taking, still come at a cost. You have to fight for your loved ones, you have to fight for your health, you have to fight for your peace of mind. Paul tells Timothy, in 1 Timothy 6, to fight the good ‘fight of faith’. He didn’t say sit back and sip on some iced tea until you see God drop a promise in you your lap. There will be times when the fight is real, when it is fierce, and when it is exhausting, but you have already been promised victory. You see, your battle is not in working to earn the promise, it is in receiving the promise. Your adversary will do everything he can to keep you from receiving what Jesus has already bought and paid for. He is defeated, but he’s also stubborn and he doesn’t play fair. Realizing this will keep you from being caught off guard when he tries to pull something over on you. It’s your time to stand, it’s your time to fight, and most importantly…it’s your time for victory. Go get it! – Love Blessings, Pastor Jeff
