Proverbs 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
As a believer the extent to which you experience victory is directly connect to the ‘squad’ that you belong to. A wise person will make sure that they have a select group to which they are accountable. These people will not be mere acquaintances, they will be those with whom you’ve established a trusting relationship with over time. Whether you are bound by life experience or common visions and goals, these people are pillars in your spiritual house. There have been few, if any, battles fought throughout the course of history that have been won by a singular person…trust is built in the trenches. Those who will fight with and for you to ensure that you make it to your destination are not easy to find. If you ask the Holy Spirit, He will bring you to into contact with the people you need, even if they may not be the ones that you may want at the moment. You need people who love you but don’t always agree with you; people who may see life differently but still want to see you through to your destiny. Your squad, just like Jesus had Peter, James, and John, will stand by you even when the rest will not. Take a good look at the people you keep nearest to you. Are they the ones who will push you into your destiny or keep you from it? Your future lies in the balance.
