Genesis 2:9,17

9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.                                  17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

You’ve probably heard the expression, “You live life one day at a time”.  While this is true, it’s only true by the default of time.  When you’re born again, your existence is based no longer in time, but in eternity.  This means that your decision making shouldn’t be based upon temporary thinking but upon eternal thinking.  This has been the case since the very beginning when God placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden.  Adam and Eve had a constant decision to make, not just on a daily basis, but on a momentary basis.  They had to choose whether or not to partake of life or death.  You see, you actually live life choice by choice.  Every time they looked up at the two trees they had to choose life or death.  As you’re well aware, they would eventually make the wrong choice.  In your life today, you must understand that every choice you make will lead you either to a place where you’ll experience life or death.  The place you’re at in life now and the things you’re experiencing are a direct result of choices made by yourself or someone else.  If you will begin to make life giving choices you will experience life in a greater way.  But if you make poor choices, based upon temporary conditions and circumstances, you will reap the consequences of those choices.  Jesus has given you His Spirit to guide you into the truth.  If you’ll allow Him to direct your decision making, the Holy Spirit will lead you into greater life. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
