Genesis 1:27 

So God created man (Adam) in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

If you were ask people what it is that hinders them when it comes to reaching out to others you would most certainly get the, “I don’t have anything in common with them”, excuse.  The person who never got pulled into drugs and alcohol would say that they don’t know what that kind of life or addiction is like.  The one who has never dealt with depression would say they couldn’t understand how the depressed person feels.  The white person will tell you that they don’t know what it’s like to be a minority and the minority will tell you that they couldn’t reach a white person.  All of these excuses don’t add up to much in the eyes of God.  While being able to relate to a condition or situation can be an open door for ministry, it is definitely not the only door available to walk through.  Jesus reached out everyone and He had never experienced any of their issues. Today’s scripture makes it clear that God created man…period.  Every person who has ever lived has the very same beginning.  They are a descendant of Adam and therefore a descendant of God.  There is even scientific evidence to verify this truth.  So, the next time that the Holy Sprit points someone out to you, don’t let the fact that they’re ‘different’ become an excuse to disobey.  Every person living can trace their roots back to God Himself.  You have the same Daddy, no other common ground is needed. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
