On Saturday, June 30th, Grant Mohesky completed his Eagle Scout project.  Grant and his fellow Troop 69 Scouts, installed a large street sign in front of the Sulphur Springs Animal Shelter on Hillcrest Drive.

The requirements of an Eagle Project dictate the scout a Life Scout Rank, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, school, or your community. (The project must benefit an organization other than the Boy Scouts of America.) A project proposal must be approved by the organization benefiting from the effort, your unit leader and unit committee, and the council or district before you start.

Grant chose the sign as his Eagle Scout project to assist community members locate the shelter and ultimately help the animals get adopted into loving homes.
