Texas Education Agency Investigating Further Issues with This Year’s STAAR Testing Beyond 71,000 Previously Reported Errors

Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath sent a letter to school superintendents last week informing them that TEA is expanding their investigation into computer problems during this year’s STAAR testing. Officials had previously identified 71,000 students that were affected by computers crashing and network issues. TEA will be working with the testing vendor, Educational Testing Services, to identify and correct the issues.
